# Ulysses

[Ulysses][ulysses] does not write a plain Markdown file for every sheet, so you **export** the current text when you want Marked to preview it.

## Quick Export to Marked

1. Press `⌘6` in Ulysses (or click the export toolbar button).
2. Set the format dropdown to **Text**.
3. Set the secondary format to **Markdown** (see note below about TextBundle).
4. Click the downward arrow beside **Open in** and pick **Marked**.
5. Tab until the primary action reads **Open In**, then confirm.

After the first setup, `⌘6` followed by **Return** is often enough to refresh the Marked preview for the active sheet (or the sheets you selected).

## Images and assets

Marked can also read **TextBundle** or **TextPack** exports from Ulysses. Use the same export sheet but choose a bundle option when you need embedded images or other resources alongside the Markdown.
