Ulysses

Ulysses does not write a plain Markdown file for every sheet, so you export the current text when you want Marked to preview it.

Quick Export to Marked

1. Press ⌘+6 in Ulysses (or click the export toolbar button).
2. Set the format dropdown to Text.
3. Set the secondary format to Markdown (see note below about TextBundle).
4. Click the downward arrow beside Open in and pick Marked.
5. Tab until the primary action reads Open In, then confirm.

After the first setup, ⌘+6 followed by Return is often enough to refresh the Marked preview for the active sheet (or the sheets you selected).

Images and assets

Marked can also read TextBundle or TextPack exports from Ulysses. Use the same export sheet but choose a bundle option when you need embedded images or other resources alongside the Markdown.
